Don’t fool yourself.
You are not a piggybank.
It is not just calories in = calories out.
That plan doesn’t work for long term weight loss.
It doesn't work.
And, it will never work.
If you are planning your New Years weight
loss plan, instead of doing what you have done in the past that didn’t
bring lasting results, why not try what works.
Eat real food.
Give up packaged diet food first, then start moving out all the processed, packaged food.
Companies like Weight Watchers offer a
plethora of processed junk food to hopeful dieters. I know that diet
programs can be successfully followed using Real Food, so that is great
if you can do it that way.
Most dieters fool themselves and believe
that skipping a meal means you "saved calories" and can eat junk food
later in the day, as long as the calories or points come in under the
line.
Your metabolism doesn't work that way.
Are you eating packaged diet food hoping that a cart full of Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones, will help with weight loss?
No, it won't help you get lean and no, it is not fine cuisine.
Eating toxic food will not lead to weight loss or to health gain.
What makes a food toxic?
Chemicals, preservatives, dyes, artificial
flavor, artificial sweeteners, MSG, trans fats (hydrogenated fats)
genetically modified ingredients (non-organic corn, maltodextrin, soy,
canola, corn syrup).
Diet food usually contains many of these toxic ingredients.
Weight Watchers puts its stamp of approval on more than just Smart Ones.
Weight Watchers is tripping you up with low point goodies that they market including:
Those Twinkie knock-offs are made from 70 ingredients.
The more toxic ingredients in their Golden Sponge Cake with Creamy Filling:
What happens when we eat these chemicals?
The liver has to deal with the toxic burden.
The liver is your body's filter and must deal with the ever-increasing load of toxins we take in. A clogged liver sabotages weight loss because the body stores excess toxins in fat cells.
If you regularly clog your liver with processed food (even food that is just 2 Points!) you will not lose weight and be healthy.
Will we lose weight eating highly processed frozen dinners?
Maybe the scale moves a tad, but for how long.
The best way to lose weight is to stop eating processed food.
It isn't as strange or as difficult as you might imagine.
I know.
I used to eat Lean Cuisine, Prego and Pasta, Hot Pockets, Kraft Mac n Cheese, Smart Ones, and other similar food-like products.
I was the Big Mac queen and lover of Dairy Queen.
I changed because I was sick; that motivated me.
I started eating three meals a day of
simple food like eggs, fish, chicken, meat along with lots of vegetables
(salads, steamed, sautéed, roasted) and a little fruit, usually
berries. I eat nuts and seeds but I gave up wheat, barley and rye 100%
and most other grains are gone from my meals.
I use coconut flour and almond flour recipes to make Paleo bread and muffins once in awhile that don't raise my blood sugar.
Yes, I understand how busy you are.
We are all busy. Too busy.
I know, we feel there isn't enough time to workout, cook and take care of ourselves.
Those are destructive thoughts that we can change.
I believe that it is NOT OK to be unhealthy if we there is something we can do to change.
By the way, the Food Pyramid is wrong and the "low fat" message is wrong.
God knew we needed real nutrients for health.
Real fat,
like butter. Even cholesterol plays a vital role in the body and we
have stopped eating one of the most nutritious foods, eggs from
pasture-raised chickens, preferably.
Protein
from wild caught fish and (organically raised, grass-fed/finished)
animals builds and repairs the body. Animal protein helps provide amino
acids we need to make the happy, feel good brain chemicals called
neurotransmitters.
Vegetables, fruit, seeds and nuts are essential for building and maintaining health, providing nutrients, antioxidants, phytochemicals and more.
You can't eat out of boxes, cans, packages and drive up windows and hope for health and weight loss.
Make a move to change, and eat real food, drink pure water and move your body.
Don't know where to start?
Don't have money.
If you are local, Northern IL, and reading
this message then I want to teach you. Invest 2 nights in the next 2
